maxi they are part of the game and should always be but they shouldnt be strong without support. or rather; they should be the supporting units to heroes and elites and while heroes and elites in turn support your marines and mercenaries. the problem nowadays is that zealot + marines can farm just as well as zealots + marines + reapers because the attack upgrades for marines are so effective.


you can add 2 medivacs to be able to pick up more. if you keep them splitted enough they cantt both be emped with one emp and if you use 2 emps to emp them you can unload the ht quickly to feedback the ghost if its in a position that allows that alternatively go and storm. the lift takes much less energy than the emp does anyhow.

i do however agree it is too bad early but i think that is because of its scaling. if you could give it the first storm upgrade right from the start (aka increase damage from 10 to 15) i think that would help a lot to make it more viable overall

after reading the rest of what you said i do agree even more. its too expensive to get working so you will get rolled over unless the enemies are idiots

Yeah we can always invest more like buying a second ghots. but then it's no longer an early game fight ^^

You think that if you can get some extra-minerals right at the start with more damage from the storm you'll be able to snowball fast enough, that way you'll have time to get some refund of the minerals invested in the HT before the ghost come in play ?

no its that i think 10 damage per half second which is the base damage doesnt kill much fast enough. its pretty easy to split your marines relatively much even after the storm hits to negate damage greatly. after the first upgrade (15 damage per half sec) that gets much harder. i think if someone manages to land a spot on storm (which honestly is rare these days with the exception of pubs and boombap) they should be rewarded for it without having to invest into it already.



edit: yea its that you can get the money back a bit more before the ghost comes so you can atleast afford the medivac needed to avoid them. because with 650 invested (ht + medivac) at the very least or 850 with the first upgrade aswell the ghost army can get either reapers or regular damage upgrades to completely beat you in every way possible.

as a compensation for the extra starting damage you could remove one of the storm upgrades so the damage after having them all stays the same (35)

I would never have found this on my own... To me it was an health issue.

No, what I want is to discuss this subject, not insullting anyone or blindly saying "need to remove ghost way too imba you all nubs".
I try to get a point here witch goes through exchanging arguments.
Whether I'm right or not , I don't care, I wanna understand.

I think that not only the ht is too weak. My suggestion would properbly be to give the ht a short dmg immunity. Like very short, but long enough to be able to nullify an EMP, if you are quick enough.

I think that ALL heroes are too weak in general. Most of the problem is double ghost. Why not just remove doubleghost, so you are forced to buy a nova, and then give her a buff?

And then there is the odin and the ultralisk. They both must have depression in their current state.
