I would like some cooler ranks, not this "gold" or "diamond" or ARENA GOD that is not even displayed half of the time because, hmm..

I want big ass badges, like some kind of anime shit, with lightbeams and explosions all over the place so people can really see how big a nerd i really am. also unit skins should be unlocked with higher ranks imo

Cool idea, i'd also want ranks more based on performance than games played (maybe something we could implement for new map?).

Make it so that u can hit arena god if u go like 50- or 100-0 and mby try to balance the amount you lose per loss accordingly. However, ranks will never *really* represent a player since winrates often are based on who you play with or against. Besides there are other skills more or less exclusive to pub play that are needed to grant the highest winrates while its how someone does in pres that is considered the more accurate receipt for someones skill.

I agree with the badges. Seems cool IMO.

But not some laser beams or shit lool. More like the donator badge or beta/devo.

Actually premades aren't based on skills. More in colo mass goli and nothin else

ok i am just gonna ignore demien for my peace of mind;
maybe we could come up with some neat way of making new rank points (points affecting the rank and calulated after the game, NOT hero kill based or whatever);
my idea basically is that you recieve points according to the enemies winrate and rank, this would result in a high amount of points gained for a premade where you are more likely to lose too, but in less points gained from simply smashing pubs.
also it would be a fun way for less strong players to recieve a huge rankboost if they happen to smash a team of high end nerds.

obviously you need some bottom cap for example 50 games min for this to apply otherwise just give x amount of points (low amount) to avoid boosters.

and there has to be a fair amount deducted for losses aswell, but again more points deducted if your wr&rank exceeds the enemy wr&rank; a bottom cap also not to be forgotten here, so people like me dont run around on smurfs ruining ppls stats :>

I like the idea of an overhauled rank system, the biggest problem I see is to make it fair enough.

But I'm surely wise enough to understand it would be be nearly impossible to make it 100% fair, mostly due to the limitations of the sc2 framework.

Still fun though.
